Peter Flaxman - Founder
Peter gained a degree in Hotel and Catering Administration before joining KPMG to train as a Chartered Accountant. He has worked in both financial and operational roles for Courage (Imperial Group), SFI (a business start up) which later went on to a listing and Harvester (Forte group) before joining Crown Management Systems, a systems supplier to the Hospitality industry which he helped grow through to its sale to a Public Company. After a brief spell as FD with AIM listed Coffee Republic, he decided that he wanted to focus on working with SMEs and formed his own accounting practice in 2003. He set up an outsourced service for the Hospitality industry (Solutions 4 Caterers) and has been involved with a number of owner managed and VC backed businesses in various industries before deciding to focus on helping local entrepreneurs from his base in Farnborough, Hampshire.
Peter says:
"Every entrepreneur needs his or her time released to focus on growing the business. That’s where we come in. We ensure that each business is set up so that it can comply with all the legislation of VAT, payroll and business tax in a really cost effective way. In addition, we make sure that we track appropriate financial and non financial measures and present it in an easily digestible format, so that decision makers in the business are able to make informed decisions. Finally we prepare or review business plans for presentation to banks and/or potential investors so that wherever possible there are sufficient funds to continue to grow the business."
